Key Stage 2 (Years 3 - 6)
Our junior children take part in an amazing range of activities throughout the year. They manage an organic garden and care for the environment around the school.
Throughout Key Stage 2 we are proactive in developing the children's thinking skills and involving them in planning their learning activities.
We have a high level of additional adult support who work with small groups of children to extend and support learning.

This picture shows just a few of the many outstanding entries entered for this year's Eisteddfod competitions. Well done to everyone who worked so hard on your entries, both in school and at home. The standards were, as always, extremely high.

This year, the whole school took part in a project called "Take One Picture", which involved studying a 17th century painting called 'Two boys and a girl making music' by Jan Molanear. Key stage 2 children joined in various activities based on the painting. RG4 recreated it in 'pop art' style, RG3 drew characters from the painting and RG6 created both characters from the picture in clay, and hats in similar 17th century designs to those worn in the painting. Finally, each class recreated a section of the original painting. These were joined together and displayed as our own version of the painting.

During Multi-cultural Week, the children dressed up and sampled food from the countries they studied.
