

Every Friday afternoon from 1pm - 2.15pm, we open the doors of Trellech University in the Junior department.
At the start of each term, children look through our prospectus and choose the two courses they will study for the two half terms. Each course lasts between 5-7 weeks (depending on the term). Children write which course they want to study and the reasons for this choice. Places are then allocated.areas from digital media editing to salsa dancing to food preparation, from artistic studies to yoga.
Courses are provided by staff of Trellech Primary School and sometimes by visiting teachers of skilled parents. These courses will change over time and cover all
Each course is designed for children in years 3-6, aged 7-11 years. Children mix and learn new skills together. Each course comprises the development of 5 skills, one of which is a core skill linked to the National Curriculum 2008's Skills Framework (Developing Thinking, Developing Number, Developing ICT or Developing Comunication)
At the end of each course or module, children will recieve a certificate detailing the course they have studied and the skills they have learned. This is placed in their Trellech University portfolio. At the end of a four year cycle, children will have studied 24 modules and (through Trellech University alone for 1 1/4 hours a week, will have attained 120 stated skills.
